Our main areas of IP
are:
- A two-speed
transmission. This is essential for an off-road capable 4WD EV that
will potter happily (and efficiently) for hours in rough terrain as
well as hit the autobahn at 250km/h plus. There have been previous
attempts at two-speed transmissions, but currently all EVs use a
single (fixed) ratio. Our novel transmission solves the problems
encountered in previous attempts and incorporates braking, freeing
space at the wheel thereby providing increased space to optimise
suspension geometry and reduce unspring mass. Patent
pending.
- Chassis architecture.
A clean-sheet-of-paper design provides for innovation in suspension
design (including semi-active roll and articulation control) and
packaging for superior performance on and off road.
- Vehicle to home
interaction (V2H) technology that will increase the overall
efficiency of energy use, reduce CO2 emissions and
enable homes to disconnect from the electricity grid. Patent
pending.
